OK, let's start with my Floating Super Shad Raps #14. I also try to distinguish between their assembling loactions too Finland=FIN, Ireland=IRL, Estonia=EST), so this aspect gives me a lot of more patterns to collect. As public well known lures form Finland an Ireland were marked on the divingbill. Newer DB's from Estonian production got a visible light blue. The older ones are made from a clear basis of plastic. OMG! That one I've never seen anywhere. Looks like a pearl pre-release of the plated rapala gift from Jan Eggers himself posted a couple of month before. Sweet and very collectible.

Great collection of Super Shad Raps.
I am new here and i am interested in the SSR 14 and the CDSR 14. I do not really plan to collect them, as i think lures should be used to catch big fish instead of rotting in boxes.
Nontheless i would be interested if somebody has a complete or near complete list of all colours of these lures.
There are some very nice colours in your collection like the black one, which would be great for night fishing. Unfortunately colours like black are outrageous expensive on ebay.
As i have no idea if the prices on Ebay are fine i wonder if somebody has anything like a price list for the Super Shad Raps or at least some kind of rarity classification for the different colours.

hello again.
besides the proto-types i think the most rare is the S and as close second the dark blue in the box labeled BK, i have seen too many BKs to call these really rare. and then there is the "silver perch" which i have seen labeled as BFT, never saw one of these NIB though.
and yes, this is just my short personal opinion of SSR; anyone of the experts here welcome to join in, since this post seems to be coming from germany, maybe Jörg and Carsten should show up.
thanks guys, wolfgang

Hi,
thanks for the answer.
It would be great if people could add pictures to this thread or the colour code thread if they have something that is not already listed.
Besides: Whta would be a fair price each for the following colours, which i plan to buy:
-CR Croaker -SG gold+silver -Crawdad

Hallo Christian.
i think you should check posts of Carsten (karpfenkomissar). there you can find a list with SSR14 colors.
while you can find loads of PF, the CR seems to be quite rare. i had only one or 2 of these in my hands so far.
CW were sold here on ebay germany about a year ago at 8 to 12 euro, you should be able to find some at around 15 to 20 $$. but this is a quite old color, and seems to be a favorite of some fishermen.
as far as i know, there is no super shad in SG. and if there is one, well the price will be somewhere about twice that of a SSR14 BK nib, at least ...
best, wolfgang

Yeah, we're working on that, I guess...
Personally I'd rather have one just thread per model, i.e. Countdowns, instead of by size...there is a lot of housecleaning that needs to be done there...

Well it seems to be a longer project to make a complete page with picture for each model.
But it should be quite easy to make a near complete list to have something to start with.
I came up with the following colours for SSR 14:
BSH Blue Shiner B Blue BG Bluegill BL Black BRH BS Blue Slate BLK (with white belly)
BLMU Blue Mullet BRO Blue Roach BSD Blue Shad BSH Blue Shiner CW Crawdad CR Croaker FP FirePerch FT Firetiger GF GoldFish
GOMU Gold Mullet GRMU Green Mullet GRO Green Roach
GSD Green Shad GSH Gold Shiner GSH Green shiner, not gold shiner HT Hot Tiger HTP HotPerch Jan Eggers MP Metallic Perch ?? Stainless Steel Mackerel MU Mullet NP Nordic Pearch OPSD Original Pearl Shad ORO Orange Roach P Perch(old) P Perch(new) PCBG Peacock Bluegill PF Pinfish RRO Red Roach RFSH Redfin Shiner RH redhead RO Roach RT Rainbow Trout
RSH Red Shiner S Silver SD Shad
SG SilverGold SFC SilverFluoChatreuse SSBMU Stainless Steel Blue Mullet SSGRMU Stainless Steel Green Mullet SSGMU Stainless Steel Gold Mullet SH Shiner TR Trout TPC Tiger Peacock TPT Tiger Parrot W Walley YP YellowPerch YT Yellow Tiger
Feel free to update this list.

Hello Christian and thank you for joining this (old) thread. We had the discussion some time ago, so I would be glad, if you confirm the existing of a BRO by a picture or otherwise. I think Rapala they made only the 5-7-8 CDSR line. Never seen any boxes with coded BMU,GSD,RSH too. I believe a good (NIB) price for a CR and a CW is 15-20$. For a Silver u shouldn't hesitate to pay at least 40 to 50 if u find one, but a boxed SG you wouldn't probably find in any shop. With some fortune you can find the stainless steel series NIB for 20$ each.

@ all:What colours are missing on my list? 10tacle: I read about the BRO in the Rapala book page 157. I don't know if it is correct to conclude it applies for the SSR14. BMU is spelled wrong by me. must be BLMU* i don't know where i found the other two. i started with the list before i knew this board just for personal purpose. i guess i take off GSD and RSH. Why is it not possible to find a SG in a box? did it not come in boxes? i will now go buy now one or two CR colour in a germany tackle store i know. *see here www.rapalanation.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=bst2&thread=3832&page=1

I have never seen a BRO super shad or CD super shad. There are two different black lures with differing belly color.
I have some prototype super shads as does Jason, but I don't think you want those on this list as they probably won't be found too easily.
There is a silver shad and a shad and an original shad (black dot) and then the new pearl shad.
I am sure I have others, but it is late and my brain needs sleep lol.

Hi Christian, I´ve got some problems with some colours of your SSR14-list. I`ve never seen and heard about BRO and SG. I`m not really sure that they exist.
Blue Mullet (BLMU / BMU) and Gold Mullet (GOMU / GMO) sounds very strange to me too. I only know the stainless steel SSGRMU (green Mullet), SSGMU (Gold Mullet), SSBMU (Blue Mullet).
I would add a BRH to your list.
If you can get some CR for a good price, buy them. They are getting harder to find.
I agree with Wolfgang. At the moment S is the rares colour to find.
Andre is selling BK on ebay for $45. This is a lot of money if you want them for fishing, not for collecting.

I also bought two ssgrmu 13$ each.

Hi Jörg,
nice lures. Did you get them on ebay last weekend or directely from sweden ? Theese are three new/special colours wich came into swedish tackle shops in the last weeks. I heard that there will be another three special colours of the SSR-14. But unfortunately I cant tell you the colour codes or describe the paintings because I haven`t seen them untill now.
Gladly yesterday I get all three lures too. I hope they will find their way to me very soon.
greetings Carsten

No Carsten, I was shopping some big baits for my pike trip to the baltic sea end of the month and there I have seen the floaters on the rack. It was a "must buy". john Excellent find, but I collect the floaters only. Btw. I would get my hands on the eggers special... any left?
