 Im trying to learn how to do more advanced image editing, and I want to punch myself in the face for being an idiot!  I KNOW if I can learn some of this stuff I could do some kickass stuff...maybe even do it on the side. But it's pissing me off!

I understand your frustration. The only real way to learn the advanced stuff is to take a course.
Another couple of ways is to use the abundance of 'tutorials' on the web, and/or buy a good book from Amazon.
Don't give up.

Frustration is having the instruction booklet in a foriegn language !
