See the odd one around, its getting too cold for them now. I have never been bitten by one.

yeah, they will bite, and they stick too. this year is not too bad, i remember the first year they showed up here, the house next door was orange, couldnt hardly see the white under all the bettles, its gotten better since then, but there still too many. bacon

yeah, it was supposed to help control the soybean affid, along with a few other affids, i am not sure if it was the DNR or if that is just an urban legend. the DNR is always getting blamed for any new thing that happens to show up anywhere, mostly because they are to blame, but im not sure on these beetles, it might have been iowa, Illinios, or USDA, or some other agency, hard telling, hell they may have just followed the affids here by themselves, i dont know. im not even all that sure that they even help out with the affids or not. they never show up til after the first good cold snap, and the affids are a problem in july and aug. bacon

I heard it was the USDA and the soybean seed companies that brought these little guys here. They really don't show up until the first soybeans start coming out of the fields.
