Buddies and I hit a river that was recently stocked with trout. I wast using a F-5 SFC and pretty soon I was seeing trout following it. I was getting lots of followers and hits. Lost a few trout. Caught 3 rainbows, 2 browns, 1 pickerel, and 1 redbreast all with that F-5. One of the browns was chubby and weighed around 1 1/2 pounds. One of the rainbows was a bit chubby and measured 15". Pickerel was 17". Later I got the lure snagged on a branch and then it fell into the water when the line snapped. Switched over to a HJ-8 SB and had many followers on that including catching a rainbow trout. Gave a new F-7 YP a few tries and lost a trout on that with a few hits and followers.

Congrats on the fish!!! Guess there is no chance of casting out and catching your lure after it is snapped off when you are river fishing. I usually use an old jitterbug I have to catch any lure I've got floating away, but I guess with river current that wouldn't be very easy!!
