I'm sure that the [Australian] Floating X-Rap is going to be a collector's item - it's already nearly impossible to track one down and they are only available in Australia. More rare than those Japan specials...... Nigel

I've been wearing my Sherlock Holmes hat recently and came up with the following from a contact in Estonia: Hi Nigel, We contacted the factory. This was special order for Australia. But the body was XR. As it was special order then they can use the code they want and it was FXR. Order was made in autumn and was all sent to Australia. Unfortunately nothing was left here ... So the only place where you can find these lures is Australia. Regards, Jyri So, it'll cost a small fortune to have them shipped from Down Under.... But wait.... I have a friend in Oz, so maybe he might just be able to send them cheaper than the tackle shop would....... I'll write to him now.....

Sounds like a good leed . Let me know if it pulls thru My friend wrote back already and said "No problem, don't worry about the money they are only $25 - what colors do you want". Wow, what a friend! I wrote back that actually I have a couple of friends that would also like some and that I really want to pay for them. He said that there is a large store on his way to work that he can buy them in. However I checked their web site and none listed So I wrote them asking if they can get them..... I will wait for their reply and if negative I will ask my friend to get them from the online store. We will wait and see.....

I was getting stuff ready for an early start on Saturday when a thought occurred to me - "I wonder if those floating X-Raps float in freshwater?" (They're designed to float in saltwater which has a higher specific gravity that freshwater. Suspending freshwater lures will float in saltwater.) Anyway, I got a deep container and yes they do float in freshwater! Which means that if you guys need a long casting, extreme action, 2.5m diving jerkbait that floats over those sunken logs -- then look no further than the Australian floating X-Rap - if you can get hold of one!
I have a spare. Perhaps I might be willing to trade it....
