i also had good results with kuusamo minnows. more difficult to find, but they work well. i have one which looks similar to a rapala original, but is a bit heavier and has stronger wire and treble. the colour is not extremely resistant against direct hits on walls, structures etc, but that's common to most lures

If not Rapala well Rebels or Lymans work great for big trout!! Trophy Sticks look and swim great! But after a few trips don't be suprised when you open your box to find that the paint has cracked or peeled off the wood. :-( At $15 to $18 a peice, I will never waste my $ again on Trophy Sticks, when Rapala's F-13s or F-18s work just as good!!

I always try Rapala crankbaits first and some days they are just not what the fish want.I still caught fish on them just not the number of fish I wanted. Last year I fished a lot of Bass tournaments and the Bomber Tim Horton Switchback Shad did really well along with the Rick Clunn Lucky Craft baits. The topwater I had the most luck on was the Lucky Craft Kelly J prop bait with the ole standby F-9 Floater twitched on the surface right behind it The biggest disappointment was Strike King's Red Eye Shad.I couldn't catch a stick on that bait.So my kids will get them in their tackle boxes.Hopefully they have better luck with them. I will not have any hurt feelings if they lose them either

wading waters works wonders for shallow cranks!!!

My one is completely black with white eyes, pike love it. I also have a little S in perch pattern.

Sebiles has some great lures, especially for salt-water fisherman they have some great lures like the 2011 Salt+Sun Series.
I always wanted huge and heavy lures and finally i found them.
But Sebile is way to expensive to collect it. They have just too many sizes and colours...

WOW. Thats the first lure in 'carp' that actually looks like a carp. That is just the kind of thing i love to fish with, although a little on the small side. Do they make them in any larger sizes?

They make balzer to about 30 cm's !!! big ones!!! great quality lures to!! 7 layers of clear finish, VMC hooks!! good ratle! great balance!!

30cm is a bit too big lol, the biggest lure i own is an 8inch fox replicant, which is very similar to the castaic swimbaits. i would go for something in the 6-7 inch range with this lure. Will certainly buy a couple if i come across them.

I also like Halco like the Roosta Popper, because Halco Lures are actually made to catch fish and not fishermen.

I have seen these in a tackleshop lately and they look great. Unfortunatly they are a bit expensive when you compare these with rapala's

Lucky Craft suspending Jerkbaits and Shad Baits.
And the rest is All Rapala baby, I've got enough Balsa Rapala lures in my tackle box to heat the house if the furnace goes out.

I used the Dalhberg Frog....first cast I had a huge bass follow it but never took it. It just kinda nudged it a few times. I kept using it but have yet to have any luck. It sure does look good in the water though.

There is one little plastic jig I swear by when targeting panfish. It is called the trout magnet, then they also make it in a larger size and call it the crappie magnet. Theses lures are fantastic, aren't expensive and catch a large variety of fish. They are also very easy to fish. Just cast it and let it fall horizontally in the water column, then twitch it in.
