Hi everyone, Recently I got this lure from Keenan (hot0n0tot) as a gift, he told me this lure would get me pike and it really did. I caught 5 pikes within only 2 sessions. Thank you so much for this Keenan! The lure is a Rapala X-rap 10cm Hot Head. Now I got this great idea! I would like to forward this lure to someone else. So everyone can have this lure for free. Here are the rules to this (please read the rules twice to be really sure you want to participate): - Notify in this topic you would like to participate. - You can only keep the lure for a period of 50 days. - After the 50 days you have to forward it to someone that has notified in this topic to participate, he or she has to live in another country. - There can’t be any financial or trading deal involved in this, you give the lure forward for free. - You need to tell in this topic who is the next receiver of the lure and what his location is. Notify this about 10 days upfront. - The receiver has to comply to these rules upfront of the exchange. - The receiver has to notify that he received the lure. - If possible, post a picture in this topic of a caught fish with the lure in the mouth. - You can only participate once. So the lure can’t be with someone twice. - You have to use a steal leader on this lure. - You are fully responsible so when you destroy the lure or lose it on a snag or what not you have to replace this lure for a similar shallow running X-rap lure. - When hooks get dull or needed to be cut during unhooking, you have to replace them yourself with similar size hooks upfront forwarding this lure. - When your 50 days are over you are responsible to send it correctly to the next receiver. This means you will have to pack it safely and you have to pay the shipping yourself. I think it is very clear that you can’t keep the lure for yourself any longer then the mentioned 50 days. Now let’s get started, who wants to participate and help this lure around the globe? I’ll notify the first receiver within the next week. Best Regards Kees.

Hi Kees and all.
great idea. it will be interesting to see what one rapala can catch. i am not on the list, because it hink i will not be able to catch a fish on it within the next 50 days. we have a closed season for pike from FEB-16 to APR-15, and i can not think of any other fish i could catch with this x-rap. and even if i was allowed to fish for pike i might not catch one. besides, we want to have it around the world, so with GERMANY being neigbors to Netherlands, the next stop should be a little more out. how about THAILAND, MALAYSIA, or AUSTRALIA? still, i just can encourage all of you out there who think they have a chance to catch a fish on this within the next 50 days.
dont be shy.
w.

Hey guys....I'm Keenan. Kees put me up there as bulldog21, this is a correction I hope a lot of you want to participate. This should be really cool to see how everyone does on this lure around the world. Listen to wolfgang and dont be shy. If you can fish this time of year, give this lure a shot. There is no reason not to its gonna end up costing you five bucks for shipping in the end of it. I have caught everything from bass to pike to trout to salmon on this thing, and thought that maybe someone else could enjoy it so i passed it on, and with Kees' success comes an opportunity for yall to have some of your own. Hope this little experiment goes great! Keenan

Ok, nice:
The list just started:
- jmcfish10101973 -
Maybe it is good to have a couple of names before we start of so we can make sure the lure can go to the next within the 50 days. So it will be a goo idea to wait untill let's say the 1th of march?
So people come on!

I've brought this up a couple of times on this site but was thinking of either doing something with the RapalaNation logo on it or maybe a different model lure. Again, lots of ideas just no time or not enough help to implement them all. I'd volunteer but Ive never used a steel leader in my life, then again Im mainly targeting largemouth bass mainly. I think I have an extra XR-10 in HH just in case. I'm hoping to be on the water just after ice out hopefully mid to late March, if the temperatures cooperate.

I'm not trying to be cheeky or anything, but wouldn't it be easier to let the people fishing for bass and other non toothy predators to not use the steel trace? I can understand people fishing for pike and muskies to use it, the last thing anyone wants is to lose the lure to a bite off, but bass can't bite through line like pike can, so there's no chance of a bite off. It would mean people like Ted couldn't make use of the suspending feature, and would have to get to grips with a trace for the first time. I wish i didn't have to use a trace sometimes, they can be a pain in the a*se, especially when using suspenders and small surface lures, and they also kink a lot.

I'd like to give it a shot, I mainly fish for largemouth. Has it already started it's rounds? If the weather stays like it is now, I'll be hitting the water in the next few weeks. No biggy on when my turn is with it, when I start hitting the water I'll be fishing at least 3-5 times a week till after the start of fall. It's handy living 2 minutes from a really nice stocked lake.lol Just PM me. Thanks.
Also, it would be pretty cool to send a lure with the rapalanation logo on it around like this one, it could help promote the site.

Ok for bassfishing leader can be forgotten That is simple enough, of course if anyone loses it they would have to replace it asap.

He says in the first post to replace it with one that's similar. Of course, I'm sure that finding the exact one shouldn't be a problem, we other members will surely give a hand locating one.

I am really looking forward to send it of to the first one and get to see pictures of other fish having it in the mouth!.
