New to the Rapala Nation site - Here is my first post: I bought 4 lures listed as F15. I believe 3 of them are F18. I am not sure what the forth one is? The unknown one only has 2 hooks. Any help on model and or generation?

well maxsam, first off, welcome to the board. as for your lures, they are F18's. quick easy way to tell is measure them. rapala numbers almost all of its lures by length in centimeters(cm) an 18 is 18 cm, a 12 is 12 cm, ect. 2.54cm to the inch if you dont have a metric ruler. the f18 with 2 hooks is older then the rest, but in its current condition it doesnt hold any real value more so then any of the others in the photo. and i would be careful using it, that one might be of an early enough age to be prone to the internal wire breaking off at the split rings. no one really goes real in depth with the generations on f18's as far as 2 hooks or 3, which now that i think of it, is kinda odd. but the early ones with only 2 hooks only came the couple of early colors, S, G, B, maybe GFR. but its pretty slim, whereas the 3 hook version is been made since and still is being made and is available in something around 100 colors/variations.
hope this helps bacon

Thanks for the help. Duh - I never put the model number to size? That make sense.
I kinda fasinated on the F18 2 hook version. I wonder year it produced. I could not find any information on design change from 2 hooks to 3 hooks
I fish my lures (almost all the lures), but this one will probable be set aside.
Thanks again
