Well Ted, now that you ask...
'Zeroroaster' is a handle derived from my insane obsession with Combat Flight Simulator 2 and other WWll follies. When I'm particularly stressed, nothing makes my day like hitting the virtual skies in my fully decked out Corsair (armed with full cheat codes of course) and ridding the skies of those pesky Mitsubishi fighters.
Hence, 'Zeroroaster'.

thanks Ted for the earlier message. It didn't take a long time to come up with the name, it came from that whenever I'm on the lake, I bring a can of Coke with me so that how I got the name jig and swing (along with the fact that the deep diving jigs catch huge fish!
anyways, I think I'm going to get off this thing I'd spent 2 hours on it already on my first day!!!

Hello Everyone, My name is Eric and by looking at the age of some of the members here I'am an old dog.Soon to hit 60 in a few weeks I have used Rapalas for over 30 years now and still love fishing with them. Not much of a collector though. After 30 years of using Rapalas I had no idea that there was all these different colors. I like to fish for Walleyes & Bass and my favorite Rapalas for these are the Taildancer,Shad Rap,and Original Floater. This is a very nice site and I'am looking forward to reading all the posts and trying to absorb all the great info. p.s. Thanks Steve for telling me about this site.

hello everyone, my name is andy and i live in cornwall ontario canada.i also live very close to a large body of water, the st. lawrence river. it is a great river to fish in as there are many species available to the right lure RAPALA !! i am fairly new to art of fishing, but i am making up for lost time. fishing as often as i am able, i don't own a boat so i have to rely on others for a ride.well i am working on that problem trying to save money to get a nice fishing boat. i have been with rachel now going on twenty years, that's pretty good for modern times ! we have no children together but we have two each, hers are in their late thirties and mine are in the mid and late twenties. she has four grandchildren that we share, three are in the mid teens and the last one is a year and a half. three girls and one boy. my passion for fishing is almost equaled by watching canadian and american football, college as well. i was a carpenter/cabinet maker until about five years ago when i was hit with a very painful illness, neuropathy, which has left me disabled, and living with all types of medications for the pain. unfortunately now i have the time to fish, but no money well i guess that's it in nutshell. have to go now time for my noon medication, talk to you all later

Hi
My name is Chris I'am a retired diesel mechanic, retired due to a disabling accident. I have had three back surgeries, and still have disabling back pain. So much for my sad story! I'am 51 years old married for 33 years to the same ole gal who likes fishing as much as I do! I have two kids one still in college and one that is teaching. I have a new grandbaby girl. We as a family all enjoycamping and fishing. I was recently able to buy a pontoon boat that makes going out on the water a lot easier on my back. I don't have the rough ride on this boat that I get on my 16 foot Starcraft. I like all kinds of fishing, crappy in the spring sandbass in summer and catfishing in the late summer and fall. I guess this as good as an inroduction for me and my family as I can come up with.

ah ha, there it is, sorry to be so quick to question, welcome aboard, and congrats on being number 500, sorry, there isnt a prize, but if there was, you would win. however lots of free lures are given away on this site, so stick around, have some fun, and who knows, maybe you will be one of our lucky winners.

Thanks for the invite Casey, glad to be here.
I'm James (Jim to my friends) and happy to be here. It's always nice to be where like minded people are.
I work from home and don't get out much so it's great to be able to make new friends without lifting my butt out of this chair.
My last name is Mann. It works great for usernames online.

I am new to this site, looks great. I have been a fisherman for several years, but for the past 10 years, have mostly been a vintage lure collector for a hobby. I like all kinds of lures, and have a few older rapala's and their boxes. Some day I plan to get a picture of them up.

Hi all BJA here, just stumbled across this site, superb top class! I am 45 yrs old, mad on both collecting and using rapala lures, been collecting them for 6 years now and have a good stash. I live in the UK, in the North East, Newcastle to be exact, i mainly fish the river Tyne for Salmon, but also venture over the borders now and again, also do a bit of pike fishing when the salmon seasons finished.
Hopefully i will be able to share some photos and more with you all in due course, and gain some useful info from the members, glad to be here. BJA
