Can't believe someone is listing the new huskys as new huskys and as rare? Bout like when the new DRFR came out. Those were rare until enough people started listing them lol.

Hi Jeff.
that someone is me.
as long as i dont see any other listed, i will stick to very rare; if there should be another one listing them, i ll step down to rare; and if i see more than one other seller listing them, i ll go down one more and list them as:
new edition H13 classic collection
since i have seen so far only 3 of them each in the new color (and i have seen about 30 H13 PM) to me these are 10x more rare than the H13 PM.
for the rest, the buyer will decide ...

Even though these are new Huskys and a they are part of a specific collection I guess one could call them very rare since they are only released in Finland. So to everyone else in the world they would be rare since they can't go to the sport shop or WALMART and buy them, and like the seller mentioned alot of it depends on how the buyer views them. To me a lot of Rapala's are rare because I have never seen them before but to others they my be just another Rapala. I guess one could use the phrase "Rarity is in the eyes of the beholder"

That is like calling the taildancers "limited edition" Of course they are limited.....to 10 million of each color and size.
I have rapala squids in my collection....they are harder to come by, thus they must be SUPERLY DUPERLY RARE.
I have seen more of the new huskys on Ebay.US than I have SSR14 SFC.
What is driving the price is the collectibility of the lure, not the scarcity.

I would have to agree with you there. If a lure is collectible it will sell for alot.I think the Fat Rap is a good example of this.I still haven't figured out if the Asians collect them or fish them, but I do know they sure buy a lot of them.

Since people collect Wheaties in the shape of the states, I think anything is collectible if you find the right buyer.

Hello Everyone, I like this thing called Rare/ Very Rare/ Super Rare/ It"s all in what we as Rapala colectors think? I was a CD09 Colector at one time, Everything was Rare at first now it"s a lucky find, Then I read alot of posts about how Super rare the Team Esko was so I turned my sights on them, Why would anyone call the Team Esko so rare when they are so easey to get a hold of, one month ago I had none, Today I have sixteen, Nine are specials, and not a big price tag to get what i got so far, Maybe I will work at a complete set, But I am not sure, I plan on useing the for fishing, The funny thing is the CD09 were more of a chalinge to get than the team eskos, So I think it is the seller that says what is rare and what is not, Last but not least, If Wolfgang lists H-13 as Super Rare I am sure that they must be, There is a Guy that knows more about Rapala"s than most people, I follow him in the back ground, He is one smart Cookie, And he has taught me to look out side the box, There a world out there that has Rapalas you can only wish for, But if it was not for Wolf I am lucky enough to look at them, Most of the other guys on this board Just tell you what they want you to know, and it ends there, Last but not least, I bought a CD09 B/S a must See, on ebay, I bought it, Major differnts between most of my other CD09 B/S- It had a red head/ Some red on the tail section, NOT A REPAINT< Lets here what you experts have to say/ If anything?

Well Michael.
we have seen all out there
tough very tough hard to get rare very rare
whatever ...
as you mention, the seller decides what to call his rapala. since no others are listed at the moment, i think it is ok to call the new husky colors very rare.
as for the TE7, the prices seem to be quite down now for them. and these are also still sold in scandinavia and some other countries, so this could be the reason for the price drop. or most collectors have got some now.
but dont think it is easy to get a full set of TEAM ESKO. we are at over 50 and still counting. for this reason i am definitely out of them. i think there is only 1 or 2, maybe 3 people out there who have a (almost) full set, maximum! check the team esko post and see what it would cost to have a full set.
if i should suggest some thing to you, concentrate on the CD9, before you jump on another impossible-to-get-the-full-set rapala. but then this would fit more in the thread Steve started some time ago about what advice we would have how to do a rapala collection.
everybody here his free to go every way they please.
so far i have never called one >>super rare<< if i would have to, the only one that comes to my mind is a NIB 26 SM MAG.

Wolfgang, You are right, I know i will never get a complete set of Team Esko, The reason I want after the team eskos was because i fould some nice trout catching colors, I plan on useing them, The Rapala book said they were made for trout in fast moving water, Well that the way i fish, And as far as sticking to coloecting CD09"S I am at a stand still right now,I have not seen anything that I don"t already have,But I am still looking, I have no clue to how many differnt colors there are in the CD09, Somehow I hope to find out,
