I haven't tried either the Dt Thug or the Dt Fat01 yet. I am thinking about picking up one or the other. Anyone have any recommendations on which I should try first??  |

Well you can't use my advice, because my advice would be to get both - in every color Actually it depends where you fish the most - if the water is generally shallow for the most part get the FAT01 - you can fish it above most weedbeds before mid-summer. If we're talking stumpy & woody, deep, rocks - then go with the Thug. But seriously, get both  |

Believe me, they will both end up in my tackle box eventually!  Being as I am mostly in shallow water, and I am already a year behind, I think I'll go with the fat01!! Or maybe just both!!!! |

Well the good thing about the FAT01 is that is functions as both a topwater, wake bait, and shallow diver all in one. If you are fishing from shore, it casts like a baseball so you can really get some distance on it.
My suggestion would be to get the Silver one; the SureSet models generally have better colors (like Gold) but those SureSets have a habit of picking up some weeds along the way, where normal trebles might miss them...
