Just wondering if anybody has any idea what I bought today. I stopped into Gander to pick up an F-3 for some trout fishing. The one I bought was in a normal box, normal color and everything. Next to those on the shelf was another F-3 in a weird box. They were both F-3 G. The other box looked older, and instead of saying "F-3 G" it just said "3 G". The color of the lure was a little different as well, which is weird since they were suppose to be the same lure. There were also a few differences on the box, plus the older looking one had a booklet inside. Needless to say, I bought both. Just wondering if anybody knows what is happening here. I'll try to get pictures up soon.

That's kind of what I thought. Any idea why they would have a full row of them on the shelf now then? Because I bought a couple of these last year and they were in the newer box already by then.

Hi.
i have 6 different F18 G here, which all are from different time of production. more or less foil, more or less white on the belly, and so on. with some of the estonia production they went back to old style colors, but you can distinguish easily by the black hooks.
all Original Floating Rapala from older production only had the size in cm and the color code on the label.
i guess they found a few boxes of this old stuff in some basement.
could you go and ask if they have dealer boxes left for these, and then maybe you could get me a full one please ... ?
best, wolfgang

I'll try stopping back when I get a chance and I'll ask them.
