I know the star foil Rapalas are some of the earlier ones, this 11G is in the box w/paperwork. I am just curious how common these are and when was the U.S. and Canadian Patents granted? Thanks for all your help.
Chris

Looks like an old original floating 11 silver.
You can find them on ebay but usually without the box.

patent was done in 1961 and became nordic enterprize, in 1965 changed the name to normark limited, your lures sound like its late 1950's, or early 60's , its in a salt water box and i think it should have sea hooks on, jason may know more than me, and to the rapala nation family

The Rapala does have a goldish hue to it when in hand.

cant say what they are worth, you dont see good examples that often, and a good friend gave me mine, as with any collectable rapala if its in top condition in a v good box, and if 2 poeple want it then it will make money , but at a guess i would say $30+ for top condition.
