I recently cast my favourite lure up a tree i wasn't too worried as i thought i could just go buy another, until i got home and found that rapala had discontinued it it was a 9cm shallow shad rap in silver blue (code no:ssr-9sb). If anybody finds 1, please tell me as i caught about 30 pike on that lure. tight lines Tom

hi tom.
i know a shop or 2 which may have some of the SSR-9 in SB.
you should also ask Ken, but since i have not heard from him for a while, i guess he is back to alaska.
you need only one?
if i want to order these, the shipping will be 20-30 euro, so i have to wait to get a bigger order together. well, i would have the order together, but i dont have the money for such a big one right now ...
best, wolfgang

thanks guys, im not in a hurry, but if you see one, could you let me know. BTW, i found that lure on ebay too, and was tempted, but it was at an extremely high price (he wanted about £20), and seeing as it was not exactly what i was looking for, i let it go. I see he has put it back up now lol

since the SSR-8 in SB is offered on ebay at $17.99 buy-it-now, i think it should be possible to get a #9 at about the same price.

Okay, my turn to see if anyone has something on my wish list. A couple years ago after reading the Rapala book, I became fixated on the pattern in the picture on page 65. I believe it is "Blue Roach", code BRO. I 've never seen it for sale in any model around where I live. I'd like to find it on a Shad Rap, size 05 or 07. The literature states it was introduced in this pattern on the Shad Rap in 1996. Any out there???

I've seen it on a Countdown Shad Rap but never a Shad Rap. Has it been painted on a Shad Rap? Pretty sure I just saw one in the Rapalamarket. I think it's a CDSR-7. Here is the link: Countdown Shad Rap CDSR-7 BROIf you do find one in a SR-5 please let me know. I'd sure like one... -Ryan

Pretty neat lure, but the one I'm looking for is not silver plated, just painted in that pattern. And, I've never actually seen one, I'm just on a wild goose chase because of a picture and description I saw in the Rapala book. Thanks for the link with the picture, and for taking some time to respond, I appreciate it.

Thanks Ryan! After looking at your links you posted, it must be the Blue Shiner, not the Blue Roach. Code BSH? Are these still produced? Anyone seen them retail recently?

Thanks Ryan! After looking at your links you posted, it must be the Blue Shiner, not the Blue Roach. Code BSH? Are these still produced? Anyone seen them retail recently? I have a bunch of the BSH in size SR-7 - these were predominantly a Europe only color for a long time, and I think they were sold in the US by some Trophy Dealers or certain store - let me know if you need any www.vendio.com/stores/RapalaMarket/item/shad-rap/limited-rapala-shad-rap-sr-7-b/lid=1085679

Thanks much for the help all- I think I'll be adding the SR-5 to my tackle arsenal. It seems just the pattern to match the baitfish where I mainly fish.
