I will be leaving on a trip to visit some family and they have killer Brook Trout fishing. Just looking for some advice that will land me more of these than the next guy. I'm thinking MFR and some really small Original Floaters as they are canivorous. If you have any input post away- Thanks-

I am not sure if stinger spoons are a local brand, or nationally sold, but they work well on trout. So do the Syclops Lite spoons from Mepps. Of course this is just what I have heard Us real men don't fish for trout We all stick with peacock bass. Okay, it sounded funny at 5:30 in the morning

Bodeen has never caught a trout because he just can't get one to latch on to the Super Shad at the other end of his line Seriously, try downsizing from a Super Shad and you will find there are more fish in your area than that one dumb Northern you catch all the time ;D

LOL, you guys are killing me over here ;D
Shane I can't speak much for brookies as they don't really exist too much in the waters I normally fish, but I've had good luck with small CDs and MFRs in bright colors, like cln,ft, sfc, gfr,
Also had good luck with small Blue Foxes in FT as well at least those seem to work on the rainbows and brownies around here - good luck!

Hi, up in WI i have used alot of CD-3's for brookies, and have caught several nice ones in faster moving water, also catch them pretty good on a JSR-4 SSD and RR-4 SD. in places its more effective then fly fishing, in others, those fly guys kick my butt. but i dont have the pactience for fly fishing. I would like to thank everyone for their input. It's a good thing a Cabelas is on the way so I can pick up a few items.
Ted-The Blue Fox lures you speak of are those spinner type baits? Are they the ones that have the minnow body and the blade in front of it? Thanks-

Just for the record, I use more than just the super shads But I do favor the shallow shads for trolling. Another just for the record, I have a 22 pound laker and a 15 pound king to my resume

I fish exclusively for Wild Brook and Brown trout in North Central PA and in the Shen. Nat. Forest north of Charlottesville VA. I use 5-9 for Brook and 7-13 for Brown. Great success with the minnow, rainbow, purpledesent, brown, brook, clown, and GFR. I wish you the best of luck. Let me know the general area where you will be going, The Doctor!

Thanks Ted-I will have to pick some of them up.
In reply to Troutgabby- I will be going up in the mountains in Wyoming which is where my Dad resides. The streams there are killer. They feed little ponds and this is the clearest water I have ever witnessed. I haven't been there for 2 years now and I can barely sleep at night knowing that Friday I'm leaving. Lol ;D
