Hey guys, i've been fishing at a small river beside my house for a long time, its not deep at all, so i can wade the whole thing. Lately i have been using F3's, and have been catching a lot of rock bass, and shiners. My favorite way to fish them is to have them wiggle on the surface, by reeling them in really slow. Its a blast to see a rock bass explode out of the water after my lures, and on 4lb test line with an ultra light combo, it makes it really fun. I was wondering if any of you guys ever ultra light fish, and if you have any success.

I do a lot of early season jigging with an ultralight outfit and 2 pound test. It is a blast to have the drag zinging. It adds to the fun. One pound fish can be a trip on ultralight.

Incredible day of ultralight fishing today! Used silver J5, bunch of different f3's, and a #1 silver countdown... 4 lb test. Caught rcokbass, longears, largemouths, smallmouths, shiners, and bluegills. Altogether... around 50 fish! Water was crystal clear, and could see every living thing in the water... schools of carp, suckers, minnows, it was incredibley beautiful. You can bet i'll be back tommorow.

I had a pretty good day as well. Was throwing a MFR perch and in an hour after work I pulled in 15 bass. No record breakers, but nice fights.
