RFR and FR help

This entire two versions of silver blue fat raps have me a bit confused. I was confused with the gold for a while too, so I should get over this one as well I have asked 3 people so far and I still don't have a clear view of this situation.

For some reason Rapala made 3 different colors of gold. We tend to call them gold back, gold dore, etc. We have the original gold that is on the floating models and the shad raps.

We then have two different golds on the RFR models. The chrome gold one and the textured gold one. Thankfully Rapala denoted each one of these colors G.

At least with the FT they changed complete across the board when they changed versions. Other than a few lip colors.

Now this takes me to the point at hand.

I will run down what I currently have in the chrome blue (chb) and Silver blue (SB) lures.

RFR4 CHB red belly clear lip
RFR4 CHB red belly chartreuse lip
RFR4 SB This is a textured version like the RFR4 TSD.

RFR5 CHB red belly clear lip
RFR5 CHB red belly clear lip
RFR5 SB textured

RFR7 CHB red belly clear lip
RFR7 CHB red belly clear lip
RFR7 SB textured

FR5 CHB with clear lip and orange belly. Or is this a different kind of SB?? If it is, is it missing from my RFR collections? Am I missing CHB from my fat rap collections?

What about the Chrome colors? RFR4 has a clear lip and a red lip where the 5 and 7 only has red lipped models. Does these sizes have both lip colors in their line?

I think Rapala is just sitting back screwing with collectors. If they wanted to really screw with us, release DD90 in baby bass or SFC. LMAO. Ship a case to one of their friends and have him list it on ebay. Really screw us up if they did it in hot steel

Just to ad to the SB confusiion . They also made RFR BSD Its the painted version of the Red Gills Textured model , but its not textured .

Now you have F'd me up. The BSD I know is the RFR4 blue shad, also a CSD Chartreuse Shad . These are rumored to come in size 5 as well.

Having the clear lip version in size 5 and 7 makes sense. Don't have em, but it does make sense and it makes the display look better. I like organized lol. I have went as far as asking a customizer if he could do a SSR8 it FT3 LOL. Just so the sizes all match!!!

So what you are saying then is this.

SB textured
SB non textured
Those too look pretty much the same.

Then the orange bellied one that looks like a CHB but is probably the 3rd version of SB that Shane mentioned to me in email.

That is what messed me up in the gold when I first got some. I thought the textured gold lure was SG. But from what I have found is that the RFR model line doesn't have a SG color. Prolly has two of them that I just haven't seen yet lol.

Your BSD looks like a SB to me and that GSD looks like no Green shad that I recall. Looks like a TSD with no texture. The plot thickens.

If there is a black dot behind the eye, I would think it is a TSD.

i am not completely sure how this is all my fault, but hey, i dont care, the one thing i am unclear about is 'hot steel' what did they do to the hot steel? now i have to figure that out too. Jeff

It is all your fault because you listed items for sale and stated two different versions of the SB. Got me thinking and looking and trying to figure out if your two SB versions are the CHB versions just called something else.

Hot steel issue isn't. Just Rapala screwing with us "in my parallel universe".

I just got in my FR-7 SB. This version has the silver plated sticker on the lid. It is basically a CHB lure with a clear lip and an orange belly. I am guessing the other SB FR looks like the MFR SB version.
