Hey guys, I need to pick your brains about another lure. I picked up a SSR-8 in P (Perch) today. It's the old stock with papers and I was just wondering if there is anything special about it, (other than it being a Rapala, which is special enough for me) haha.

I checked the Rapala site and it appears the SSR 8 has been discontinued... can anyone confirm?

Here's the pic. The box (as you can tell) is a little scuffed up but it's been sliding around the tackle shops for years. Never been opened. Attachments:

i just picked up 4 ssr-7's in perch and these were made in estonia.ssr-8's are just a little to big for what i fish for.the size 7's are great killers for small mouth bass in a river that i fish.

Congrats on the 4 SSRs. Those are excellent lures. The balsa wood mixed with that lip makes for the best shallow cranks in the world. I plan on starting a collection of SR-7's and SSR-7's soon.
