I just picked up a floating Mag #9 in Redhead. I doubt they have any collecting value so I was planning to fish with it. Has anyone used the floating Mag #9? If so how deep does it go and what fish have you caught with it. Also any tips on how to fish it would be great!
Thanks for the help.

On a cast they will get down to 1.2m and trolling will take it down to 2.1m depending on line diameter and amount of line out. They are basically steady retrieve baits and are one of the most underestimated Rapalas out there -- I love 'em -- which means that if you don't catch anything on it or would like to give it up for adoption - I would give it a very good [salty] home OK. Catching fish on them -- I have caught both Grouper and Puffer fish on them: Small Comb Grouper caught on a Rapala Floating Magnum 9 Puffer fish on a Rapala Floating Magnum 7 - Dorado color Nigel

About 5-7 feet, always had good results with the 3/4 in my tackle boxes. Pike, perch, & bass. Lorin, my friend who got me into fishing, & his brother have 2/3 in their tackle as well & they catch more than I do!
