With the current climate - I just figured this might be a great conversation - if anything. OR, it could lead to an actual get-together of the RapalaNation?     Here are some thoughts: Could be scheduled for 2013 (Actually would almost have to be 2013 at the soonest) Possible meeting places: Minneapolis MN BassMasters Classic Tackle Swap Meet - Conventions all over the US Major Sport Show Hayward WI - Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame  |

But again - I thought at least it would be a fun conversation. Maybe we start a Midwest Chapter!  |

Sounds cool. I live just outside of mlps but could swing somthing in Northern WI as well as I from the area. Side note with my pending trip to Europe I hope that while in Paris, Amsterdam, and London that I might run in to a member or two.

No,.. I live and fish in Utrecht. also a great city!
I do know some nice fishing spots in Amsterdam! and I can tour you around in Amsterdam. I know the place very well!

I would be game for a Rapalanation meet!!! I've never been to Hayward to see the Hall of Fame. Minneapolis would also be good. Aw heck just about anywhere will work for me. I am booked to go fishing in Alaska in June 2013, so just about any other time.

I think I see now why things are so picked over here in MN and Northern WI. I'm sure were passing through many of the same small bait shops . Must not be if I found a DRFR in a Duluth tackle shop |

I still think its surprising though that I found a tackle shop with about a dozen fat raps including a matte GFR and an SFC, if we do this get together in WI or MN I'll be there

Nathen,.. I'd really be honered to have you over to fish on my swims. I will eagerly cede my rod just to have you catch a dutch pike on my spot. and have you go home with a nice experience pictures and a memory of a good time in holland.
I can manage to get you and your german friend a hotel room just to extend the journey in holland so I can take you out in Amsterdam the 2nd day and show you around in this metropole of culture, drinks, drugs and very nice hot girls.

I want to pm you about setting up something when I arrive in April. My wife and I will be in Amsterdam for 5 days so I hope one day will work out for you.(Said to say No hot girls for me, but the old lady looks good. I also think it would be a good chance for me to take you out to lunch or dinner. We can work out the details off board. Funny that to folks with Nathan/Nathen are going to to meet up for fishing with Kees. Now thats cool.

well, hayward might be good, there might even be a lake or two nearby to go fishing  . however, Rapala USA is alot closer to the twin cities than hayward, we just to need to find someone with keys to the store room. either way, as long as its not harvest or planting seasons, i would be there. bacon |

That is too coll - Two RapalanNation members "hooking up"! I think we should get serious and start planning the get together. Maybe in a few weeks I will start a new thread? Does anybody have any more ideas?

Today I have been fishing with Nathenpd, unfortunatly it was a bit too hot for pike.
The only thing happened is Nathen having a hit from a small 8 inch pike wich got away again.
We ended the day with a nice cool glas of Duvel (high fermented Belgium ale)

Kees has now had two RapalaNation members visit him - too cool! I had a chance to stop by Bacon's house and look at his Rapala collection last week. Pretty impressive stuff! Also got a chance to trade!  We got a chance to discuss the possibility of the "informal" RapalaNation Get-together. The more we discuss this - the more logical site of Minneapolis (Home of Normark Corp) keeps coming up. Maybe even try to line up a "factory" tour? Who feels they could make something in the Winter of 2013 in Minneapolis? |
