I love the shape and size body of the Super Shad Raps along with the action, but I need them to dive shallow from a wake bait to +/- 2.5 feet. Has anyone had luck with trimming the diving lip to make them dive shallow?
Thanks!

yeah, just where the lip has the bend to it, that is the place to cut the lip.
So, you only remove the horizontal part of the lip. (that lowest part)
Then it only goes to 2 feet or so and still retains it's wobble.

Awesome. Can you put up a picture showing what the modification looks like?

Here is a image,.. I have drawn 3 lines on it. cut the red one, it will go very shallow. What I did was cutting the green one an smoothen it with sanding paper. I think I was using 400 grid or so. I recall cutting is with a small bread knife. the material is softer then you might think. I have seen guys doing just the yellow one, I think you should start with that, you can always sand it down more as you go testing it, you cant reverse the process obviously. This is a cutout of a picture of mine using it one day. Hard to see but this one was actualy cut. This was the only time I used it and ironicly, I used it in way to deep water for fishing that shallow.
