New to rapala, xrap 8 perch suspends pointing nose

I bought a Rapala xrap perch 8. I went to test it today, I clipped a double snap lock on the front and tied a knot, the xrap swims really nice but when it suspends about 2 foot under water I noticed that it stands vertical nose down, is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I thought it would have suspended horizontal in the water.

First....welcome to the site

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I have noticed that when using snap locks, the weight of the snap is just enough to drop the nose down on certain lures. Try tying direct to the lure and see if it does the same thing without the snap. I might be wrong, but give it a try.
