hello everybody, i'm back after a while. now, i've occasionally caught some (very few, maybe just a couple) pumpkinseeds while fishing for bass or chubs.
since i know some spots where they live, i think i could try wiht ultralight minnows. i have some small rapalas, especially #3 and #5 lipless special countdown, and i think i would use those lures.
any suggestions?

Mini fat rap or small countdown with a worm chunk or waxie on the rear hook, that seems to work well for larger Bluegills and Crappie anyway

I fish large streams/small rivers and when the water is low during the summer around here, I pretty much stay with the F-5's (sometimes the J-5's) going after bass & walleyes. Water depth runs from 1 foot up to maybe 4 feet deep in certain sections. Have picked up several bluegills and some black crappies as well on the F-5's; some of them quite respectable! I really havn't done anything with the F-3's, but if you're targeting sunfish, I'd bet the F-3's would do very well!

I know you were asking about crankbaits, But a small float and an ice jig with a piece of PowerBait on it 1 to 3 feet below the float works well for me. I have also used a small Floating crank like an f-3 in place of the float too.
