No fishing for about 2-3 months. Yuck. I fell on the jan. 2 and broke my right hand in 3 places. Can't write, barely type and can't make lures for my store. Gonna be a long 2 months. Hopefully i can stay away from surgery. Hard as he!! being a southpaw. I'll be checking in now and then, but my work takes twice as long w/ one hand. Hope every ones New Year got off to a better start. Worst thing is no fishing - and the flounder, reds and snook are going off.

Man, that sucks out loud and in stereo. Hope you heal fast and get back on the water. The rest of the year has to be better.

That's not fair ! So a good man like you does not deserve this . I also wish you a recent wound Omigosh is right , in everything there is a balance, the next episode should be quite positive for you

Thanks for the kind words. Had a small set back and fell again in the living room and re - broke one of the bones. Dang this hand hurts. The worst thing is I have a trip to the keys for a show this weekend and no fishing. Thats like being stranded in a desert w/ a glass of water you can't drink in your hands. A good note is I have had a chance to keep up w/ the Rapala collection. Adding goodies everyday!

Must have been a good rabbit's foot. Not only was it the best show in a couple of years - I managed to make 2 casts with a baitcaster (lefty of course). First cast turned into a tasty 4 lb mangrove snapper, second cast was a problem as a 50-60 lb tarpon took me for a little ride. After that I decided to put the rod down, step away from the rail and not press my luck. My buddies fished for the next 3 hours thru the tide and total fish landed went something like this: 5 snook between 28 and 34", 8 mangrove snapper up to 25"(about 5 lbs.) and all the tarpon you cared to give chase too. I really love fishing Florida!
