Well.
nice list; i have to check my MFR-3 box of what is in there; and what is not ...
the code for red clown is RCL, and i think the RCL and SGFR look very similar; in the case of MFR it may be even the same color, cause i have not seen a SGFR so far.
the RCL is not a prototype color, at least it was listed in the rapala finland catalog, i think this was the 2000 edition, it was there only for 1 year, but as long as a color is listed in a regular catalog, i would not call it a prototype.
same for PW and RH; it seems these were japan edition only, but still, there is too many out there to call them protos, although, too many may be not the right word for a damn-hard-to-find rapala (still looking for the RH nib, would trade for PW nib).
and John is right, besides the B foil there is a B pearl, which i also still need to find nib ...
best, wolfgang

in John´s pics are 3 MFR-3 with long hang tag; anybody knows if these is the only 3 colors in a box like this, or are there more than SD CW and GFR?

Hi Wolfgang,
The first generation OCW would be the light orange color that they had for RFR-4, RFR-5, and RFR-7. I have never seen that color on an MFR-3.
If you visit Jason's photo site, he has the MFR-3 in SGFR and RCL. The main difference that I can see is the SGFR has a gold belly and the RCL has a silver belly.
As far as the long hang tag...in addition to the three in John's photo, I'm guessing SFC might have also had a long hang tag in MFR-3 (although I have never seen one) since the FR-5 SFC came with a long hang tag at one time.
