hi all.
well, i think we had this finland-lip-thing already when the new edition of SFR-5 came out some years ago.
sellers listed on ebay as "made-in-finland" for obvious reason, then later changed to "lip says finland" or such.
i think i told before, my thoughts are like this:
rapala is making the lips in FINLAND and thats why it says finland on the lip. i guess they do not want to send the machine for making lips to estonia, becasue it "could get lost". so they produce lips in finland, and i would guess some other parts of the lures, and send for assembly to estonia.
all boxes i have seen so far say "assembled in estonia" which in this case is the exact description of what is done. they do not say made-in as they did before estonia factory was opened.
i agree with both, a very nice rapala, and a little high priced for a new edition, even if the story of only 100 to 200 made is true ...
my policy is to wait. i can not own all rare rapala in the world anyway.
i have had good experince with this for many of rare CDJ-7 such as SFC pearl, FBHF, FRHF, RCL, GF ...
just the RTO is still missing; and this is one of very few where i would go to $100.
