Pretty sure I can find answer online but figured I would ask here. Are Finland made rapalas special? At our local sporting goods store there is a bucket full of Finland made rapalas for half off. Many models and colors. Are they cooler than Ireland or Estonia rapalas? Thanks

The Finland baits in my "and most other peoples" opinion were a better made bait. But all in all it will probably depend on the model and color to get a true answer to this question.

I agree with Jason entirely. Back when they were all made in Finland there were far less colors and models. Do you have a picture to share? Regardless - half price Rapalas will always be worth what you paid for them!

No pics, but lots of jointed rapala,, floaters, deep cranks and others. Probably couple hundred of them

well,
without pics its hard to tell. as suggested, at half price always a good deal.
i think the very early and early finland lures were not as good as the later ones, talking about fishing, that is. also all ireland stuff was top quality i think. more recently, the newer stuff may have seen some not-so-good ones.
my best example is the CDJ11 which is catching my line on about every second cast and seems not to hold up to pike as good as the older lures did. thats why i am constantly looking for FIN and IRE CDJ11 to use for fishing.
the collecting is a whole different story, the older the better, in my opinion. also looking for early-rare colors is possible.
i would say all finland CDJ and SFR are worth something. also the original floater say in RH, especially the F-18, but as long as you are not located in Sweden, i gues there will be no F18 RH in the box, even if there are several hundred rapala in there ...
best, w.
