I have tried to get a licensing agreement from Rapala and all the other big conglomerates and didn't get any interest. I finally came to the conclusion that none of the conglomerates take any outside ideas. They only go with ideas generated from within. I am posting to tell folks about my patent titled "Planing Floats with Lateral Motion Control". I have three designs the BulletBobber, the DualFin and my latest Prowler Planers. The conglomerates basically rent the shelf space in chain stores and don't let little guys in, no matter how good an invention. Check out www.ProwlerPlaners.com and reply if this is something that you would like to see in chain stores. Prowler planers go to the left or right and flip direction when given a little pop! There has never been a planer board so small, simple and multifunctional. As a multispecies fisherman for over 50 years and Mechanical Technical Designer for 43 I can tell you that my latest design has all the rigging options you could ever want and can do things you never thought were even possible. I love fishing but I wouldn't think of doing any kind of fishing without my planers. I use them whenever catching gets tough.

these seem very intresting, i need to get some more kayak trolling and board use before would try some, but i really like the idea. i usually troll with larger deep cranks so that seems like a concern. bacon

I would really to license my patent 6,874,271 to Rapala. It can be used to make lure or floats that plane to the side and flip direction when given a pop like a Zara Spook but will keep running sideways as long ass real. This is a prototype top water lure with directional control. Here is my latest fishing float called the Prowler Planers. They can be set to plane left or right or flip direction by relocating the weight balance screw to one of 3 hole locations. They have a slot so you can put them on at any time and can be slip rigged. They are mad of polyurethane foam molded in one piece with in mold coloring. They come out of the mold ready to go! They can troll just about any diving lure, jig, spoon, spinner etc. Giving them a pop to change direction when trolling gets fish that are following to strike. I and customers have proven this many times! Besides trolling with Prowler Planers Here are some things they control can do. If you want to troll deeper my DualFin clips on and has a release. These are 6" long and can handle bigger lures and faster speeds.

Here are some fish I have caught using the my old style Prowler Planers fishing in a river. I use the current to go anywhere I want downstream and then zigzag until I get a bite. When site fishing I can pester a fish until it strikes and only need to recast if I catch a fish!
