Hey gang, I put up a few of the extra Overseas Husky colors I had. Check em out on ebay. Heres a jpg of all 6 together. Not sure of the name of all of these colors. Firetiger, , Pink Head Pokedot, Rainbow Trout, says RB?, Golden Rainbow Trout. If any of you know the names for number 2 or the RB color please post. Thanks

Wow man, those are just...awesome. Husky's themselves seem to be real rare on ebay these days as well, much less specials and overseas ones. Shane ya got me on the colors though...although on the one marked 'RB'....I have a pic of a Fat Rap in the same color! I had thought it was a repaint, but if you compare the pic (which I'll have to post) the colors of the two seem dead on... Good shit bro..nice haul.

ohh,
Nice fat rap. I suppose you don't have its sister NIB laying around for me. ;D The husky's are a nice piece. I particularly like the firetiger though the others are more exotic to some. What could RB mean??

Found with a little digging that the RB color goes by Rainbow Trout. Kind of disappointing as far as color codes go but atleast we have that figured out. So I guess there are two colors of Rainbow trout, both on the Husky. Still don't know that Red-Blue colored code. Steve might. You around here?

As I have seen these colors before, most times I come across them, they are refered to as RB & RB2 Most of the limited info I have comes from Japan (a little bit from Finland & Norway)
Sort of like the AYU & the AYU5 color patterns. Something about the 'metallic' finish. The ayu was not as shiney (is that a word) as the AYU5.
Another example would be the RH color pattern The 'Basic' RH was a pearl finish while a RH2 has more of a 'chrome' like finish.
There are quite a few of the "oversea's" patterns that use a # after the basic color code.
What really is interesting is that we seem to have forgotten about 'stores' over there. Like Gander Mountain" has it's "Own Rapala Patterns"
I starting to see that certain Large Tackle shops oversea's MAY have had some patterns of their own.
It's something I've been looking into and getting solid answers is proving to be a little tough.
My "Friends" at Rapala (Finland) have provided me with some good leads & interesting paperwork, but nothing I can be a 100% about...yet
But ya'll know me, at some point. I'll have something to which I can refer to.

Steve,
I can contribute to that a little bit. I have heard from a good source that yes indeed the stores sometimes put in special orders just like here in the US for colors they want and thus you have limited distribution of colors in an overseas market. Its all quite overwhelming. I would bet an executive at Rapala couldn't collect all of their own lures.

Hey Shane, A little 'history' for ya.
When I first started getting in good with my source at Rapala-Finalnd.
They were sort of interested in the fact that I "collected" Rapala's. The language translation back then wasn't as good as it is now.
They ASKED what type of fish I caught with them...
When I explained that I didn't fish with them, It came off as being I didn't like to fish with Rapala's...
So I had to send some photo's of not only my Rapala collection but my Tackle bags & plano storage boxes of the Rapala's that I actually fish with.
Needless to say, those were some very very interesting e-mail I got back from them. My one source had shown the pictures to a few others there and low & behold I got some great posters and a load of other goodies from them.
Over the years, They always keep me as informed as they can and make sure that I'm up-to-date with the current Rapala catalogs. Plus they seem to include other items in each package they send my way.
I sometimes wonder what they think of me, in that I not only fish with the products, but go out of my way to hunt down, track and then add certain Rapala-Normark items to my collection. Some of the e-mails I get from them are so great, that in the back of my mind, I can only imagine what they think of this 'crazy american' (me)

Well,
All of the Husky's are gone with BIN bids, except for the one RB color(2nd from left) which already had a bid on it. If anyone is interested check out Ebay # 7221638031. I hope to get a few more of these if I can, but I'm not sure whats going to happen.
