Bodeen, I was looking at the lures I was holding for you last night, including those I already sent and I was kind of shocked. Your pile is quite large. You might want to consider hiring a moving company to get those to you, it might be cheaper than UPS. Any word on the Euro Super Shads? Edit to add: Wow Page 2.

Ok, we're going to have to going over to Europe and kick some ass than. Sometimes contacts can be a waste and sometimes they are great friends. Just takes a little weeding. What I meant by "you guys and your MFR's" is I have never seen a group of grown men so excited over something so little [Insert Joke Here] I've never really fished with the little bastards, find them hard to display, and well I guess thats about it, but I have started collecting them because I am jealous that you guys have such a head start. Ted has helped? me out immeasurably on these. I love the HM Japan colors so if you guys pull any extras in box keep me in mind, likewise here.

That reminds me I have to post a pic of a little MFR display I made, not enough room to display every color code, but I think it looks kinda neat. And jason of course keep me in mind on those mfrs too...he's been on an Asian assualt these days ;D Keep up the nice work!

Ok, Just when you think you know everything you find yet another Special Super Shad. It wasn't that long ago that I hadn't seen any of these and now I've seen 3. Thankfully all three are on their collective way. The newest member after the two I've already posted on page one of this link is a Black Red Head scale pattern that I have somewhere on a Husky Jerk. This baby is pretty nice. Pictures to all once I get a nice one.

Oh yeah, I forgot you are the Super Shad man ;D, or is that just a little man thing to make up for your love of MFR's. I mean seriously you can't get much further apart unless you go MAGCD-26 and CD-1. Do you know if you are coming or going?

You guys and your MFR's. I don't have any of those or extra DRFR but I'll keep my eyes peeled. How bout an offer you can't refuse, well maybe you can but...I think I might have a rapala Special SSR14 coming but its slightly used no box. Not exactly collection material for me but since the SSR14 has so few specials(2 that I know of) you might be interested. Here's a pic. This looks almost exactly like a CD tiger peacock. The exceptions would be the red pupils and the red check markings on the one you are showing, and the red colored scales. Another difference is the tiger has the scale markings over top of the perch lines, yours have the perch lines over the scale markings. The tiger has all gold markings.

When I receive my Tiger Peacock ;D I will put them side by side for comparison of color and markings. I believe the prototype color I've shown was probably put up against the Tiger Peacock and they decidedv(Rapala) to go with that TPC color for production. This prototype just goes down in the anals as another color tried but deemed not a seller. I've never seen another like it, presumably only a few were made.

What the heck! That looks homade to me, Rapala only uses one ring to connect the two bodies.

If indeed this lure is authentic I think they would have to use to rings due to the size of the lure . My 2 cents

Can you imagine the drag a JSSR14 would put on your line. I've speed trolled 3-4mph J-13's on 50lb braid and stiff rods and found the drag to be substantial. A JSSR14 would likely be like pulling the anchor behind the boat. Where can I buy one

I actuall do fast troll the SSR 14 and they have some serious drag . I bet with this one I couldnt do it . I think it probably has a little to much action for the fast troll .
Im going to do some more searching tonight to see if I can find some info . I'm curious if it is like a proto type for the jointed X-Rap

Behind the head doesn't look right for a Rapala, and the hooks look fishy. Another thing is the paint on the dive bill. I would have to be at home to compare closer, but the lower jaw looks wrong too. Trolling a JXrap does a number on your drag. I would like to see a shallow running JSR. Just my 2 cents. Not a plug for SSR Just casting to shore in rip rap, a shallow runner works better. Again, my 2 cents!!

I'm pretty sure this isn't a real rapala. It looks like somthing out of a Japanese Sci-Fi movie though...
