Bleeding pearl looks better on the minnow rap. I think the lures themselves are better than the shad raps. Just my 2 cents.

I hope they'll be better than the shad rap but a few shad raps have amazed me-

Hot steel and purpledescent really amazed me! Glad I got some used clowns to fish with too. I think that color should kill the fish at my cabin.

I'm glad they made that hot steel as that color on the SSR and SR's has been pretty killer for most species around here.

I haven't tried it on the salmon, but all the other fish around here love it. Well, the fresh water fish here do. Haven't caught a thing on it here in saltwater.

Just a short note on the new minnow rap- First off I would like to say that this lure gets down farther than 11'. I tried running at 2.00 mph on 8 lb line diameter. The box says 5-11' but my testing the other night proves that it will go deeper. I went to 14' and the lure got down to the bottom and this was not long lined as it was a medium sized spinning reel and the line was not even close to being all the way out. I wish I would have one of my reels with a line counter so I could put up some more detailed facts but I just had the spinning gear with. I think it would be interesting to see the dive chart on this lure (rapala tackle box guide or whatever it's called). Any way I hope to like hell they make a shallow version of this lure as it would be alot more usefull to many in my opinion. And you can't toss these as far as a HJ either which was expected but they have that sweet shad rap action. Anyone else have any comments on this new addition???

I agree with the shallow version, as long as it isn't available like the STD lures.

Yeah, I saw the bleeding floaters at Gander Mtn. saturday. They're pretty nice looking, but i'd still stick with the classic colors.

I will pick some up if they come out in 13. Will have to get the minnow raps to troll. They should throw out some really sweet action.
