Hi guys, First day on the board and relatively new to rapala collecting.I recognise some of you guys from ebay. I've been buying lots of FAT RAPS and Japan Specials ( also like dealer boxes....sorry if that isn't cool ).I'm pretty green to this whole thing.I've now got around 200. Any general advice for new guy? Also , anyone know where I can buy direct from Japan?. P&P expensive to Scotland through ebay.

Welcome to the board Shelly1fishing .
There is a wealth of knowledge in some of these old post's . If you have more specific questions , feel free to ask .
As for the Japan question , maybe one of these other guys can help you on that . I just have a friend there that helps me . Not sure if there is just a regular on line store that will ship to you or not . There are those few guys on Ebay that sell direct from there . I didnt think most of there shipping charges were to out of control , but there are a couple for sure that could lower there shipping prices a little .

the only one i found with english homepage and shipping outside japan: www.fujiyamapeche.com/homepage in english, french, spanish prices in euro or $$ shipping cost a bit high, but fast and safe (this is what i think EMS is; have not yet ordered there) prices ok (for european standard) virtually none of the JS colors listed (dont ask me why somebody would set up a shop like this in JAPAN and not offer a single japan special color)?? w. p.s.: dealer boxes, you mean full or empty boxes? got quite a few of empty ones, a fewer full ones too ...

well, if you ever get an overflow, I am sure there are people here who would buy them or trade you for what you need. I imagine there are a lot of rapala lures represented as a whole form this board.
If we ever put them all together, we would have a pretty nice display.
