to fish wish today. Yes, my very first.
So how deep do these dive, are they fairly shallow lures? I'd love to plop them in the shallows and see what hammers it!

Your first one I know the box says 5 to 9 feet.I have used them in 3 feet of water without hitting bottom.Using a very slow retrieve and 30lb test is probably why.

Ive all ways been a fan of the big bait theory . Picked up one of these baits to try out . This is from a lure company " Karikko " owned by Jarmo Rapala . Cant wait to get out and give it a try .

Hi, Ted, one of my favourite fishing reporters from Cyprus fishes for Big Game almost religiously and had this to say about the SSR14 - they do entyce BIG FISH in hitting but are not always prepared to finish the job in boating those... Last season they were fishing in Nubia Egypt so his complaint is that the potential new WRecord Nyle Perch bit the butt end of the super Shad Rap as the tail hook is not supporthed with wirethrough like the Rebel Trakdown monnow or most salmos for example... does not mean it is a less effective lure by no means... they keep using them for trolling This is my buddy Harry AKA Caveman: That fish is far from being the big beast that destroyed the lure... So all in all, Ted, have fun with the SSR-14
