I'm not sure why they don't take them off, but whenever I take the stickers off of the front plastic, a little patch of tape, or sticky stuff stays behind, and I think that's even more annoying.

yes i know what you mean , it does my head in as well, they have to come off, try the steam off the kettle or a little vinegar but if there on the box your stuck with them

Hi jbone,
i go with nathen, some of these are hard to remove; i have used solvent and everything, but the stuff baked in by the sun for a long time is really tough; better than doing damage to the box (which i have done to some very nice ones ... stupid me) i prefer to leave on.
i know other guys who remove, but for me it is quite nice to have them stay; this way you always remember where you bought them (unless you take the time to list all the stuff, price, time and shop where you got them; i have tried several times, but somehow a few always elude me ...)
my little quirk is getting a full dealer box where all rapala dont have any price tag or other signs of so-called shelf wear, and take out one from the middle of the box in absolute perfect condition to put in the collection.
have a nice weekend, wolfgang

Another thought is to leave them on, this was 20 years from now you wouldn't believe that a Fat Rap only cost 2.99 !

i usually take my thumb nail and rub the worst of the sticker off [ carefully ] and put a little zippo lighter fluid on a rag and PRESTO .. it takes all the sticky stuff off .. then just rub it down with a dry soft cloth.. this also workes on car bumpers and windsheilds with those old stickers .. and it doesnt hurt a thing .. [ dont put it on painted surfaces though ]... i also use a great product to shine my box lids and lures ..[ I KNOW , IVE GOT TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS ] its DURAGLOSS 681 plastic polish .. its for anything plastic that you wanna polish ..it takes out fine scratches .. i use it on all my old skipjack lures and it really brings out alot of the imperfections [ not all ..but most .]. you can use it on your plastic headlight covers and tail lights on your car .. it's good stuff .. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYBODY .,,,, J jbone..

A hair dryer and goo b gone does wonders for stickers.

I hate them things I wish the stores would just stick them on the back instead right on the plastic cover. I assume that its so everyone can see the price right away but how hard is it to turn the lure over.
