Just a general subject for conversation:
I was wondering how many of you are like me or if I am the odd ball - But I find myself collecting lures and it seems that I do more colecting of lures than I do fishing my own lures in my tackle box.
Secondly, during my collection routine, I often come across lures that are still in the box and/or in fish-able condition yet instead of adding them to my tackle box - I turn around and sell them!! WTF!
Don't get me wrong, I do fish as often as I can. Ity just seem that collecting is the bigger focus. am I fucked up?

As a recovering collector, I am making this transition from collector to fisherman, and it's not easy to crack open some specials and overseas models and fish them.
Im exhausted now, and getting up early tomorrow to fish, but Im sure I'll have more to add to this subject.

I think its safe to say your normal Chuck.
I do the same thing, and when I do go fishing I find myself reaching for a lure only to not find it and getting pissed off until later when I realized that I sold it or traded it for a lure in the collection box.

I find it difficult to fish a rare, or expensive lure. I don't think I could ever crack open any of my SFR 7 blue lures, but I have ran into a shop that had a bunch of pearl whites and I did add a couple of those to my boat. The type of fishing that I do I am getting farther and farther away from actually casting crankbaits. I will cast some huskys and minnowraps into the shallows, shallow shad raps in the river, or troll JSR and Jointeds, but that is about all the ones I will use. Unless I run across some white bass, then the RFR4 and RFR5s come out.

On that note, I lost a Red Chrome Shad Rap today... good thing I bought two of them...
