Hey all!
I received some more information & pictures for Jan Eggers today....or whom I'd wish to call the "Grandfather of RapalaNation" ;D
I hope he doesn't mind I said that!
Enjoy the pics everyone!
shows a very special Super Shad Rap given to me on my 50th birthday during the EFTTEX '93 in Amsterdam
a Rapala poster of which I have more and also with other pictures, it shows unique Rapala playing cards with several pictures made by me and a selection of Rapala key rings, most of them with my name and logo, some Storm ones and some promotional ones I arranged
some decals, postcards, notebook, Rapala paper, a Sanger sticker promoting the Jan Eggers Selection and also here I must have even more and also Rapala pins and badges. sooner or later I will make a picture of them
some of the different Rapala caps I have found, I have spare ones of these on the picture and it is easy to sell them especially when I sign them
two very nice and interesting Rapala calendars with very nice artwork of Ad Swier in the 1995 one and nice pictures in the 1998 calendar
shows 4 Rapala books I was involved with. The one top left was the first one and I was the editor with a GErman journalist named Peter Sauer. The cover of the jumping pike was made by my good friend Ad Swier and it is still hanging in my living room. After this German one came the Dutch edition, me in charge and the same cover which I still like a lot.
Then we produced the 2nd German Rapala book with different most German contributors and with the book you got a special Shad Rap as seen on the picture.
The production of the English Rapala book lasted a long time, first it was the idea that Mick Brown would be the editor but finally Bob James did the job and I wrote several chapters for it.
Know I also have French, Spanish, Italian and American Rapala books but they must be somewhere among my collection of a few thousand fishing book
For my contribution in the new and recent Rapala book Rapala Legendary Fishing Lures I got copy no 58 of the Centenary Limited Edition and I had it signed by Jarmo Rapala with some nice words, also Risto, Esko and Ensio signed and at the bottom some nice words from Sirpa Glad-Staf
