I was just trying to list some Rapalas on feebay and I now have a listing limit placed on my wifes account. They claim it is for safety reasons with counterfeit name brand. This just sucks. To get it lifted I would have to fax them: 1. copy front/back of my drivers license 2. 1 month credit card statement with my card# and address 3. a copy of the receipt of the item I want to sell What a bunch of BULL SHIT!!!

They say that it is random when selecting who to limit. People with higher feedback scores are less likely to be picked. I was just trying to list a custom painted gfr-5. Maybe the custom painted is what got me???

Maybe the custom painted is what got me??? That shit don't sound right - are you SURE it's an official ebay email, and not one of those bogus spam ones? There wasn't a 'login to ebay' link inside the email was there? Have you been able to login to your ebay account?

It is all from eBay as I talked to them on the phone about it. I would get the listing all done then when I clicked "list item" it would have one of those red squares around the message. I'm ready to quite eBay all together.

Maybe the custom painted is what got me??? Hey Jeremy, I just listed a custom painted DT without any problems.I don't think its the custom paint. Our feedback ratings are about the same so I don't know why they got you It figures ebay would start some bullshit like this, that person running the show has got to be sniffing some good glue. I think if they nail me with this crap it will be the straw that broke the camel's back. Please keep us informed if find out anything as to why. Steve

I don't know for sure if it was the custom painted lures or not. They won't say they claim it is random. I am just thinking that maybe the case. I am having the trouble on my wife's account and she only has a feedback of 64. I was just trying to get that raised up for her then this. They said "the higher the feedback score of a person the less chance to have limits put on". I told them we could go down through all of the rapala listings and I could point out the counterfeit or wrong listings and they don't want to do that. They just want people to report them per listing. I would be really pissed if this was happening to my account. They are all a bunch of anyway.

I hear ya.They always say we want ebay to be a safe place to buy and sell and come up with all these moronic rules, but when you try and point out fake stuff they don't want to listen. Also I have to ask do you get alot of phishing e-mails related to ebay? I get these all the time and report them as well and they tell me they are working on it and it seems its from the same person all the time.Illinois63 & quickshipelectronics are the ones I get the most.
