The fact that you can still get 3.00 off for each MR09 from 7.99 to 4.99 is a bitchin' deal...time to complete the Minnow Rap arsenal

That's a great deal!!...Man, this country sucks...Raps never go on sale, and when they do, they're still 8 bucks. Speaking of which, the world up here has decided that fishing season is over. I went to Canadian Tire last night and they've already started packing away the fishing gear...ok, winter's coming but we still have until the end of October to fish open water...leave it there, let us dream! Anyhew, all of that and still not a single 3cm floater trout in the bunch.

<rant> What is it with American online stores? It's like they don't want international orders They charge such exorbitant rates - $40 minimum for Airmail - us non-USA customers look elsewhere. If only they would recognize that they could make a very nice income from international orders if only they would charge reasonable rates - like Amazon.com does. </rant> Nigel P.S. Anybody want to be a go-between

I might be placing an order soon though - what are you looking for?

I might be placing an order soon though - what are you looking for? What I meant is that whereas I can order a Rapala from the UK and pay about 6 to 8 GB Pounds for Airmail delivery; the same item ordered from an online tackle shop in the USA will cost me a minimum of $40 -- that's, doing a conversion - 1.00 GBP = 1.62630 USD, a difference of $27. That's extortion or just ignorance of the vast income the international market has to offer. If Amazon.com can send stuff at reasonable rates from the States then why can't the likes of Cabelas? Things in the States are so much cheaper than here in Israel or the UK (where my mum lives). I was actually considering the Skitter Pop SSP12 and the Skitter Walk SSW11; and of course the MaxRap when they come out. Colors for saltwater - nothing too flashy Blessings, Nigel P.S. Ever thought of opening a 'Store' for RapalaNation?

Ever thought of opening a 'Store' for RapalaNation? Yes I've thought of it, but I don't really have anything to 'sell', unfortunately. And from what I've heard it's very hard to become a Rapala supplier too.

Hey Muskie, Thanks man!...we'll talk in the spring. Fishing season is almost over here for the season so not much point in getting excited now. Only 8 weeks left and counting...even in that, there won't be a lot of free time...I've got two jobs running right now so 'lake time' is scarce...hopefully things straighten up a bit so we can get back on the rails. It ain't about being rich, but steady would be nice. I must say, one nice thing about living here is the rocky bottom lakes without much vegetation. This is the only place I've lived where I've had to change treble hooks because they wear out from catching fish, and bouncing off rocks. The lure bodies are still perfect! Every once in a while I lose a lure to a big fish ( I use ultralight gear here)...but that's part of the fun, I guess. I do agree that we get absolutely screwed on international shipping regardless of what it is...even as a retailer, we have to watch carefully when buying direct from the States, especially in light quantities...free trade? What the hell was that?
