Nice looking lure though...but when is ebay going to do anything about people obviously misleading the public? Its fraud is what it is...and they harass one of our members for selling a custom repaint...

It seems like the only thing feebay is concerned about is how much money they make It doesn't matter if a seller is listing fake items, stolen items, etc as long as it makes them money.

Yeah... Erm... Right Those look like the plasticky lures I get at the supermarket (well, *used* to get). The popper kind of looks like the Skitter Pop... If you squint. A lot.

I think there is some degree of people 'just not knowing' if they are real or not.
There are a lot of home-based businesses that may do a lot of 'dropshipping' where they have access to closeout or wholesale items, a lot of which we as all know comes from or is made in China.
China is now the bootleg capital of the world, if it exists, then there is a cheap knock-off of it being made in China somewhere.
To be fair, Im sure there is a small percentage of people just not knowing, but I think the larger percentage is people just not caring and willing to just fleece people.

We should probably start a thread in the ebay section of pics of fakes, just so some of the people that are 'new' to this don't get sucked in.
I would think the vast majority of people that do come here already know, but I think its our duty to let people know whats fake and what isnt...

Ted is right about the bootlegging thing.I remember when I was in Kuwait. If we had any Nike ,Reebok, etc shoes we had to cover up the Brand name with duct tape.I was told they take pictures of this stuff then go back to their shops and make a fake model.

Y'know, there's the old saying that if it's too good to be true...well, you know. Fact is, if the guy is selling these and obviously you know the price is stupid cheap, the first thing you have to ask yourself, is why...the whole 'buyer beware' thing. We get that all the time here in the saw shop. A good saw around here is at least 500 bucks...yeah, it's lots of money, but they last. Go ahead, buy a cheapie piece of junk, ten times, and you'll learn why you should've spent the money the first time... This is no different. If they're making these things, it's because there's obviously a demand. eBay doesn't care, they get paid...the manufacturer is laughing stupidly..they caught the biggest fish of all on these things!

Hey Zero, You hit the nail on the head!!!!!! Like you said you get what you pay for.If you think about it 500.00 bucks is not that bad.Its better to pay the money and get something that will last.My Dad bought a STHIL saw about 25 years ago and it still works like a charm. ;D
