Nice, is that 14' long, or 14' 6"? Oh wait, its the metric system over there That is the perfect setup for virtually all kinds of fishing, IMO. The semi-v will work anywhere, from the shallowest of ponds to bigger water. I miss my boat...but I don't miss launching it, loading it, and towing it!

My boat is 4 meter long.its a nice little boat.Yeah its right with the launching and packing but ok so i can fish in a lot of diferent lakes and can find bedder spots. But i like your boat its lighter to handle and it looks like you have a lot of fun with it. BWT and it make it easier to snake in private lakes

Hey Andy, I guess trolling in that green boat is out of the question, hunh? hee!hee! Nice little fishing rig, man. I'm with Ted though..I don't miss the loading, unloading, packing, etc,etc,etc...especially because much of the fishing here is river fishing but they don't get much deeper than a couple of feet. If they're deeper than that it's because the snow is melting off the mountains, in which case, you don't want to be anywhere near the river (the water gets a little out of control). I may get a canoe next summer to replace my boat...like Ted says, fast to deploy, like you say, able to sneak into any little lake, anywhere...

When you get to be my age ,you like to have a solid footing as your balance aint what she used to be!! Canoes, kayaks and float tubes are very low on my favorite boats list, ha ha

Canoes, kayaks and float tubes are very low on my favorite boats list, ha ha I agree, that's why both of the ones i have are flat-bottomed canoes, and fairly wide. They suck in the wind, but they are much more stable...

Can you still get the canoes with the floaty things on the sides? I haven't seen one of those in a long time!

Yes, they still sell "sportspal" canoes. You can even get a 14' one with a square transom for a motor. They only weigh about 30-40 lbs
