Well as a few of you new , I just returned from a Salmon fishing trip up in Northern California . The trip was cut a bit short buy some family problems of another one of the guys that went up . Which didnt bother us much as the fishing was alot slower than past years . I did manage to hook up with a couple salmon in the 25 30 lb class , but just couldnt mage to land them . Here is a picture of the best I could do . 8 lb Steelhead . Managed 3 about this size the rest were all half pounders and fingerlings .

On this particular river I like to use Blue Fox spinners in the Chartreuse color . Or in the right whole I will drift some roe .

Sweet. I haven't seen a BF in Chartreuse yet. Seems like the only people selling them on Ebay are from Europe. I can imagine landing a 30 pounder from shore has to be a lot tougher than from a boat

Yah a fish in the high 20's to low 30's will usually take you between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the how fast the water is moving . I lost one last year in the low 40's I fought him for over an hour and it came unbutton'd within ten ft of me .

What can you get them for? I can't get the BF spinners here at all. I would be interested in picking some of them up. I love throwing spinners at fish.
