Howdy All,
Well, it's taken all week to recover, take-in, & look back at the weekend that was.
I was very lucky to have tickets to last weekends (Sunday Cup Race)
Seats were located just across from pit lane.
I was lucky there too, Smoke & Jr's pits where right in front of us across the track.
Well Sunday turned into Monday as rain ended up making for what turned out to be a Historical Tue Race scheduled to start at 10:00am.
I've been to quite a few different events.
Nothing & I mean Nothing compares to one of these Race weekends!
I've been a Huge Fan of Nascar for quite a few years and yet I had no real idea of the whole 'deal'
This was my 1st race to attended in person.
And Tue morning provided me a eye-opening and ear splitting chance of a lifetime.
As the Fog was gliding through the track Tue Morning, The cars under these light conditions seemed to just 'pop-out'. The colors were super.
When they got the starting command,
Holy Shit!!
The sound of 43 cars in dense air was something to behold.
And here I was, sitting in the front row, slightly off turn 4 and just left of the start finish line.
After a few laps in the fog (under yellow)
Going about 100 mph. The race got stopped.
Due to poor vision. Too much fog.
When they dropped the green and these 43 cars took to full out racing.
What a sight, sound, air, stuff coming off the track this turned out to be.
I was a fan before I went to this Race.
And now I 'get it' the whole Nascar thing.
I'm planning on at least 1 race weekend next year.
The whole weekend, Fri, sat & sun.
I'm Hooked, just like a Bass on a Skitter-Pop.
Here's a photo.

Anyway, That was the weekend that took all week.
