For a 1st post of a fish on this ripper Rapala site I thought I'd better start off with a Rapala caught specimen.
This fish is called a Golden Perch or more commonly a Yellowbelly. They are native to the Murray-Darling Basin here in Australia. This particular one was caught in NW Victoria in the Murray River whilst having a lazy day bank fishing as the water levels were too low to launch the boat comfortably & safely at the time.
I very rarely remove fish from the water so try and take shots such as these. Lure used was an RNR-8
