Got the canoe on the rack already and plan on fishing a lake I hadn't fished in over 5 years...I'm actually giddy over this. This small lake has it all...shallows with pads & cover for bass & pickerel...and depth to troll some deep divers too. Not sure if I'll be able to sleep...Im getting up at 3:30 to be on the water at first light! The good thing about living in the northwest corner of the state is you never need to drive far to get to a lake... There must be at least 20 different lakes within a 1/2 hour ride

Must be nice to have so many lakes that close. I have to drive 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hrs to get to different fishing spots. When I plan a trip I can never get a good nights sleep the night before. I think a lot of fishermen are like that.

You called that one right casey10 I can never fall asleep when going fishing in the morning.I keep thinking about what lures and colors I want to use and other stuff like that. It must be a location thing in Canada because a few years ago I went hunting in SasKatchewan for whitetail and while driving through Saskatchewan and Manitoba I really didn't see many lakes. It was early November and I remember stopping at a gas station to get a soda and they wouldn't sell it to me What is the deal with that.

I have no idea why they wouldnt sell you a soda. Never heard of such a thing, but I have never been out west to Sask or manitoba. If people are like that I guess I dont really mind not going there.
