All I can say is....WOW!!! That lure is destroyed. I wish we had more fish up here in Michigan that could do that. Nice pictures and welcome aboard.

thank u guys for the warm welcome...i'll post more pics later... for your information, we always change the original hooks and split rings on our rapalas to a stronger 5X or 6X rating because even the 1 or 2 kilos of this critters can easily rip off the original split ring and straighten hooks on the strike...im just 23 and still a student, i cant effort to buy alot of lures..i only buy those who have potential and a good quality split rings and hooks aren't cheap too..

Fishooked, its a pleasure to share my experience with u guys... freshwater fishing trips in malaysia are fairly cheap...for about USD1K, u can have 4 days 3 nites fishing in the biggest man-made lake in southeast asia for 10-12 anglers..meals included...about USD100 per angler..that is already consider as a VVIP trip...hahaha..
Wow that is cheap! Not the airfare part I'll bet...
Again, thanks so much for coming by, we hope you will be a regular here, as we have plenty of 'registered' users, but they don't post nearly as much as they should.

walleye270, if u look carefully there are a few really big fishes in there..the water is so so clear as crystal and almost imposible to catch them using lure..

there are about 20 or so mothership..various in size and skipper knowledge (it depends on what type of fishing u wanna do and target fish)...say if i wanna go there to catch mahseer i have to go with skipper who expert in mahseer fishing...during rainy season u'll be fishing Hampala Barb, dry season is good for snakeheads hunting and mahseer..mahseer fishing is the most challenging because u have to walk about 5-6 hrs deep inside the jungle...the forest in this area is so thick and GPS wont help...

the one below the mothership is Hampala Barb.. this is mahseer or more specific Malaysian Mahseer.. They look like they are related to carp, or as I like to call them 'freshwater bonefish' ! We used to always go carp fishing when we were kids, they always put up a hell of a fight...

hahaha...ok..in my first posting, second pic, i was on the boat..third pic, im in the white shirt... i hold the camera most of the time so i dont have many pics of myself..
the mahseer is not in a carb family even though i looks a bit like carb but the silver color fish im holding in my first posting is a carb family..the english name according to IGFA is hampala barb..local name 'sebarau' we gave them a nickname 'freshwater wolf'... according to fishbase, 'sebarau' is in a carb family but their behavior is totally different..they hunt for food, really nasty fighter and they swim like rocket..

Do snakeheads have sharp teeth? I can't really tell and dont know, but knowing of their aggressive nature I wouldnt be surprised...also I noticed a lot of pic with the gripped in their mouths too..

This is really cool. I have 5 of those hampala barbs in my in tank. They are really fast and react to any movement of small things in front of the glass. Their appetite is huge and very varied. Before I got the barbs I had a group of channa's but they're are real bastards, attac everything that comes in the tank. I sometimes had a hard time cleaning the inside window of the tank
