When? I just don't like these bass anglers up here who think the water is just for them and they can ZOOM to the other side of the lake for 5 minutes, then ZOOM to another spot, and fuck whoever is in there way....they're worse than the pleasue boaters. Don't get me wrong, right before sun up to see the wake of a largemouth in the shallows cruising in behind your topwater, or jigging up a nice smallie is a blast. I just choose not to target them generally. Plus, all the bass anglers I know get a look of evil in their eyes when they find out that I eat bass. OF course, I add fuel to the fire by thanking them for catch and release so I can eat better  |

Just bustin yer chops about the gills, personally I'll target anything if the fishing is slow, not to mention they're dime a dozen and there is never a shortage of those little bastards... |

I agree with you guys there is nothing wrong with gills.Hell thats what I grew up fishing for.They are also a great fish to get kids started on cuz they are easy to catch and plentiful,andd the kids could care less what they are. They are also very good eating |
