Once again I hit those same ponds Wednesday from 5:30pm til 8:15pm. I went to check out the "bullgills" but couldn't see them due to it being overcast and a bit windy. I did try jigging a GT W3 but didn't see anything looking at it. I moved on around that same pond with a SSR7 SH, F9 GFR, and JSR5 P. Over at a cove I caught a 14" bass in the 1 to 1 1/2 pound range. Had no more luck at that pond so I moved on over to where I caught the 1 pound crappie and lost the huge bass. Saw some thick weeds in the water so I tried twitching a SSR7 SH on the surface and also giving it a jerk before letting it sit on the surface and then jerk it again. While doing the jerk retrieve I had a few nice swirls right near the weeds and caught a small 7" crappie. Gave it a couple more tries before hitting the road.
