Thursday I hit 2 places. The first stop was a pond they stock with trout. I was there with a buddy of mine. I figured it was to warm for trout so I played with a few Rapalas hoping for bass, crappie, and pickerel. Over by some weeds I was throwing a SSR7 SH and caught an 8" crappie. Was seeing swirls out there. Had no more luck with the SSR. Tried a SP7 S with no luck and lost a bass on a SW8 SDT. Twitched a F5 S on the surface for some crappie but tons of sunnies were coming up for it. Had no luck with a F9 GFR. Worked my way all the way around the lake I was fishing and caught 3 bass and a pretty chubby bluegill. Caught the bluegill with a W3 GT.
Later in the day I went to the park again. It was a pretty slow day there. I did manage a 7" yellow perch with a F9 GFR and lost a bass with a SP7 S. In one area I saw some nice bass schooled up together but they wouldn't hit anything from any topwater to a jig. By then I was done.
