Nice pictures. That lake looks like it has Frog, Snake or Critter bait written all over it. Oz It sure does...it was perfect spinnerbait country, I would have cleaned house....cant believe I forgot them. Oversleeping didn't help...I got on the last 4 hours later than I would have liked... Had a lot of misses though...damn fish kept missing the Skitter Prop...

I could just imagine all the bass that would come shooting out of those lillies for a rubber frog.

Nice lake and nice fish. I second the rubber frog. Pretty sweet watching them come out of the water to get them.

Definatly looks like a soft plastic topwater lake ;D ;D A another bait to try is a Terminator tube bait. They are made of that new plastic and they float.Just rig them with a 4/0 worm hook and your in business. I went fishing for a couple of hours this evening and only landed 1 14 incher and lost 4 others.Caught them on a Yamamoto Senko and a ASSALT paddletail worm. Tried the Gulp Turtleback worm and all I got was a small Snapping Turtle Thought I had a huge Bass on until it came to the surface. That Fireline is some tough shit not even the turtle's claws cut threw it. BTW Ted is that Jets thing a tackle bag or a cooler? Its pretty .

Muskiehunter,
You beat me to the comment on that ugly green cooler bag. Must get those with your season tickets. Who is playing QB this year for the J-E-T-S anyway?

I was throwing Senkos and my favorite plastics, Berkley Realistix Sinking Minnows - Just enough weight to get through the tops of the smaller lily pads, by far my favorite plastic bait. They're not that easy to find in stores, so when I see them I clean them out. And yeah I know the cooler bag is ugly, but my wife actually got it for me, and it's one of the few presents she's bought me that I actually use....just the right size for me & the canoe. I think the starting QB for the Jets is gonna be Mark "Dirty" Sanchez

Damn, no luck today, I think my new canoe has a curse on it....had lots of misses on the Scum Frog today, so at least it wasn't boring.
A few misses on the DTFAT01 today too..I'll tell ya, its a great lure for those lakes that have weeds a foot below the surface...this thing only dives down a few inches, if that.

Boy oh boy, that lake looks like flooded pasture! Gotta love a canoe though...no matter what those guys say about the Jets, you're in there, and a propeller won't make it... ;D That little pike was cute. It's nice to see one that won't take your arm off. Last time I hooked one here, I cut it loose. I didn't want to have to deal with wrestling with it in the bottom of the boat...and I left the baseball bat at home. Good luck on the next round!
