As all of you can tell just from my membership name, the 1 fish I love to fish for and enjoy fishing for the most is the saltwater fish the bluefish. I've been trying and trying to catch my first blue of the year ever since May. Where I live the season runs from mid May til early November but they don't really start schooling up until July and August. It has been pretty slow so far this season.
Anyway, Thursday I ht the saltwater to do some surf fishing right on shore. I started off by throwing a SSP12 MU but had no luck. Then tried a SSP9 CR but nothing. I finally decided to give a SSR9 SD a try. First cast out there and I get a nice hard hit. Reel her in and finally catch my first bluefish of the year! I was so happy and thrilled. Wasn't having anymore luck where I was at the time except for 1 hit and lost 1 on the jump. Later while I was at a fishing pier where guys were chunking and having no luck, I caught another blue on the SSR9 SD. I hit the road around 8:30pm.

Bluefish are my favorite fish to go for and I love my Blues!!!!!

Those bluefish sure are a fun fish to catch. 
could be fun...but a lot of work for me...
